THE DAIRY BARN

   Bed & Breakfast

ABOUT

When Don & Gerrie Etter retired from dairy farming, they realized the cows had always had the best view in the county. They converted their old barn into a bed and breakfast, naming each of the eight guest rooms after their favorite dairy cows.

Check in at the front desk in the old Milk Room, relax on the Cow Yard patio, eat a farm fresh meals prepared the way Grandma used make them, play with Alfie the farm dog or the outdoor barn cats, chase fireflies or enjoy a summer bonfire, and sleep in the old Hayloft.

Each room at The Dairy Barn has it's own private bathroom and great country view. Two bedrooms are handicap accessible where the baby calves used to sleep on the first floor . All six of the Hayloft bedrooms have comfy pillowtop queen size beds. The rooms don't have televisions, but you are welcome to use the one in the common area if you have a hankering to watch Old Yeller.

We still like to tinker about the farm. If you are lucky you can see Don riding around on one of his vintage Allis Chalmers tractors or help Gerrie and Alfie the farm dog gather eggs from the chicken coop.

We welcome couples, families, small groups, hunters, snowmobilers, and old farmers. With a huge farm yard and large common room on each floor, we're a great place to hold family reunions and small retreats.

OUR ROOMS

All rooms at the Dairy Barn have pillow top beds, private bathrooms, and are technology free so you can connect with each other and our beautiful area.

Farm & Pet Friendly

Though the cows are gone, we are a working farm.  You can see our collection of vintage Allis Chalmers on the job. You are welcome to roam, but you might get roped into loading hay.  We have barn cats, a farm dog, 2 mini horses, 3 quarter horses, and assorted free range geese, chickens, and ducks.

Your pets are welcome, as long as they get along with ours.

Housekeeping

We freshly launder and press every room just before your stay with environmentally friendly products.  We don't enter guest rooms while they are booked, but if you need anything (extra towels, soap, etc) let us know.

Garden and Fields

The old cow yard is now our patio.  Pull up a chair next to the fire pit, layout in the grass and count the stars, sit beside the fountain and enjoy the free range chickens, or take an after supper walk down the waterway.

GUEST REVIEW

My best friend and I were on a road trip and this was our last stop. It was so nice to kick back and relax. The innkeepers were so kind and accommodating. Would definitely go back. The food was my favorite part, I have never had freshly whipped cream before!
